About This Plant
Tulip 'Phantom' (Yellow/Orange Frill), 'Phantom', is valued in PNW gardens for its character and seasonal interest.
Tulips , classic spring-blooming bulbs with cup-shaped flowers in nearly every color. Plant bulbs in fall.
Full sun suits this species. Plant in well-drained soil. Hardy USDA Zone 3 to 8. Many tulips perform as short-lived perennials in PNW; replant every 2 to 3 years for best display.
For a Pacific Northwest native plant of similar character, consider Aquilegia formosa (Western Red Columbine), Holodiscus discolor (Oceanspray), or Mahonia aquifolium (Tall Oregon Grape) , all support native pollinators and birds.
