About This Plant

'TowerPower Dark Orange' is a bold, fast-climbing Black-Eyed Susan Vine that delivers saturated orange blooms all summer long. The flowers are rich and warm toned, deeper than the typical orange selections, and they appear in generous numbers against heart-shaped green foliage. This variety was bred for container performance and looks great spilling from a planter on a porch or scrambling up a small trellis.

Full sun brings out the best flowering, and the vines climb by twining so they need a support narrow enough to wrap around, such as strings, netting, a trellis, or obelisk. Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist. Like all Thunbergia, it is not drought tolerant.

Plant after the last frost date as a summer annual. Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies all visit the flowers. The color pairs naturally with purple verbena, dark foliage sweet potato vine, or chartreuse coleus.
