About This Plant

Black-Eyed Susan Vine 'Sunny Rose Sensation' is one of the showiest climbers you can grow in a single season. This Proven Winners selection produces large, velvety rosy-pink blooms with a distinctive dark eye from late spring all the way to frost. The twining stems reach 5 to 8 feet in a season and will happily wind up a trellis, obelisk, or fence, or spill from a hanging basket with equal enthusiasm.

Plant in full sun for the best flowering. Consistent moisture is important as this tropical-origin vine does not tolerate drought, though the soil should drain well between waterings. A single application of controlled-release fertilizer at planting is generally all it needs in the ground.

Treat as a frost-tender annual and start fresh each year. It is a reliable pollinator draw, attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies throughout the summer.
