About This Plant
Sedum nussbaumerianum (Coppert), 'Coppert', is valued in PNW gardens for its character and seasonal interest.
Stonecrops (Sedum / Hylotelephium) , drought-tolerant succulents from creeping mat-formers to tall border perennials.
Full sun suits this species. Plant in well-drained soil. Hardy USDA Zone 3 to 10. Sharp drainage; tolerates poor lean soils. Excellent for green roofs and rock gardens.
For a Pacific Northwest native plant of similar character, consider Aquilegia formosa (Western Red Columbine), Holodiscus discolor (Oceanspray), or Mahonia aquifolium (Tall Oregon Grape) , all support native pollinators and birds.
