Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, humus-rich soil. Trellis or stake canes; support is essential for this vigorous vine. Prune out spent second-year canes at the base after harvest each year; retain first-year canes for next season's fruit. Watch for Spotted Wing Drosophila on ripening fruit and cane diseases such as spur blight and cane botrytis. Protect young plants from browse.
