Care Notes

Plant in average to moist, well-drained soil. Prune to an open vase shape and remove the oldest canes every few years to renew fruiting wood. Use bird netting at ripening to protect the crop. Note: Ribes is an alternate host for white pine blister rust; do not plant near five-needle pines.
