Care Notes

Plant in well-drained, average to moist soil. Needs a cross-pollinator from the same bloom group for good fruit set. Watch for fire blight; cut out and burn affected branches and sterilize tools between cuts. Monitor for pear psylla and pear scab. Pick fruit firm and ripen off the tree. Protect young trees from deer.
