About This Plant
Prunus 'Snofozam' Snow Fountains (Weeping Cherry), 'Snofozam' is valued in the landscape for character, form, and seasonal interest.
Higan Cherry / Weeping Cherry , graceful small tree, often in weeping form ('Pendula'), with delicate pink or white spring flowers. 'Autumnalis' blooms lightly in fall and again in spring.
Full sun suits this species. Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Hardy USDA Zone 4 to 8. Watch for borer and the usual cherry pests. Short-lived.
For a Pacific Northwest native counterpart in scale and bloom, consider Amelanchier alnifolia (Saskatoon / Western Serviceberry) for white spring flowers and edible blue berries, or Cornus nuttallii (Pacific Dogwood) for show-stopping spring bracts in light shade.
