About This Plant
Wave Purple was the original Wave petunia that started a revolution in container and landscape gardening, and it remains one of the best petunias ever introduced. The spreading, vigorous habit that made Wave petunias famous is fully on display here: plants spread 3 to 4 feet while staying low, creating a ground-hugging carpet of bright violet-purple blooms that flowers continuously from spring through fall.
The Wave series was bred for heat tolerance, weather resistance, and exceptional vigor, and Purple Wave delivers on all counts. Full sun and consistent moisture are the keys to keeping it performing at its peak.
On the Oregon coast, Wave Purple is a workhorse annual for sunny containers, window boxes, and as a colorful ground cover in sunny annual beds.
