About This Plant
Yellow has historically been the hardest color to achieve in petunias, and Wave Easy Yellow represents genuine progress on that front: a clear, warm canary yellow that holds its color reasonably well through the season rather than bleaching to cream in full sun the way earlier yellow petunias were prone to do. The flowers are medium-sized and produced generously on vigorously spreading plants in the Easy Wave mold, branching freely to cover fifteen to twenty-four inches across with that characteristic slightly mounded, trailing habit.
Wave Easy Yellow is a natural brightener in mixed container plantings. It pairs exceptionally well with deep purple petunias or calibrachoa, with electric blue lobelia, or with warm orange marigolds for a bold, saturated combination. In softer plantings, it works alongside pale pink and white flowers for a sunny, cheerful look. Like its Easy Wave siblings, it is self-cleaning in that spent flowers drop rather than clinging to the plant, and it recovers from rain better than many petunia varieties.
Site in full sun for the best flower production and color intensity.
