About This Plant
Peperomia caperata 'Red Luna' is a small houseplant with a lot of texture and drama packed into a compact rosette. The deeply ridged, heart-shaped leaves have a corrugated, almost crinkled surface that gives the plant its common name of Ripple Plant. In 'Red Luna,' the foliage takes on a rich silvery-green base veiled in deep burgundy-red, and the slender red stems that carry each leaf add even more depth.
Like all peperomias, 'Red Luna' thrives on neglect of the right kind. Water when the top inch of soil dries out, give it bright indirect light to maintain the best leaf color, and keep it away from cold drafts and direct sun that can scorch the leaves.
'Red Luna' is a beautiful choice for a small pot on a bright desk or shelf, and it looks especially good grouped with other peperomias.
