About This Plant
Salmon Ivy Geranium brings a warm, sun-drenched color to containers and baskets that brighter reds and pinks simply cannot match. The soft coral-salmon blooms glow against the glossy, shield-shaped foliage, and the trailing habit makes long, elegant cascades from hanging planters or raised pots. Flowering runs from late spring well into fall with little encouragement.
This cultivar performs beautifully in the Pacific Northwest's cool coastal summers, where the moderate temperatures keep bloom color rich rather than washed out. Morning light is ideal. The stems root easily from cuttings if you want to carry plants over indoors through winter and get a head start the following year.
Salmon pairs naturally with deep purple verbena, soft yellow calibrachoa, or chartreuse sweet potato vine in mixed containers. It also works well as a standalone specimen in a classic terracotta pot where the warm tones really sing. Regular water and a balanced fertilizer every few weeks keeps production strong through the season.
