About This Plant

'Margarita Cool Purple' African Daisy is a color-rich annual that brings weeks of bold blooms to sunny spots from late spring through fall. The flowers are a cool lavender-purple with a steel blue center eye, giving each bloom a layered, jewel-like quality. Plants grow in a compact, naturally branching mound about 10 to 14 inches tall.

African daisies thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, and the Margarita series is selected specifically for good heat tolerance, which extends the season nicely into summer when some osteospermums slow down. Deadheading spent blooms keeps the show going.

On the Oregon coast, 'Margarita Cool Purple' is a natural fit. The mild summers here are perfect for African daisies.
