About This Plant
Opus Grows Mix No. 1 is a biologically enhanced premium growing medium formulated for professional results in home and commercial gardens. The ingredient list is unusually thorough: coconut coir fiber, sphagnum peat moss, pumice, perlite, organic compost, aged bark fines, worm castings, wood biochar, diatomaceous earth, natural limestone for pH adjustment, fish bone meal, bat guano, feather meal, blood meal, alfalfa meal, shrimp meal, humic acid derived from leonardite, basalt rock dust, kelp meal, and mycorrhizal inoculants. The Bio-Tope cultured compost supports microbial diversity from the moment of planting. Mix No. 1 is OMRI Listed for organic use.
Plant directly into Mix No. 1 with no additional amendments at setup. It is well suited for containers, raised beds, and in-ground plantings where you want a rich, biologically active starting point. Once plants are established, supplement with nutrients appropriate to your crop and growth stage. The pumice and perlite content provides drainage that suits both moisture-loving and drought-tolerant plants.
Opus Grows is distributed through Rexius in Eugene, which is how it reaches Pacific Northwest nurseries. This is the mix we reach for when customers want the most complete, high-performance option on the shelf, whether they are growing vegetables, natives, or houseplants.
