About This Plant
Melaleuca armillaris (Bracelet), 'Bracelet' is valued in the landscape for character, form, and seasonal interest.
Bracelet Honey-myrtle , Australian evergreen with fine needle-like foliage and white bottlebrush summer flowers. Tough drought-tolerant specimen for warm sheltered sites.
Full sun suits this species. Plant in well-drained; tolerates lean conditions soil. Hardy USDA Zone 9 to 11. Marginally hardy in southern Oregon; site in the warmest, most sheltered exposure. Drought-tolerant once established.
For a Pacific Northwest native tree of similar character, consider Acer macrophyllum (Bigleaf Maple) for canopy, Cornus nuttallii (Pacific Dogwood) for spring bloom, or Arbutus menziesii (Pacific Madrone) for evergreen sculpture and red bark.
