About This Plant
Elegant White mandevilla is a tropical climbing vine grown as a summer annual that delivers an extended display of beautiful, trumpet-shaped white blooms with soft golden-yellow throats. The flowers are typically 3 inches across and appear in loose clusters along twining stems covered in glossy, dark green, oval leaves. It is an undeniably glamorous plant, and it grows fast enough to make a dramatic statement in a single season.
Mandevilla climbs by twisting its stems around any support it can reach, making it a natural for trellises, obelisks, fences, and porch railings. It can also be grown as a trailing plant in large hanging baskets or allowed to mound and spill from containers.
At Dragonfly Farm, we treat mandevilla as a warm-season showpiece. Plant it in a sunny, protected spot after all frost danger has passed, provide a trellis or support, and water and feed regularly for best flowering.
