About This Plant
Midnight Sun creeping jenny is a distinctive selection in the Lysimachia nummularia family, valued for foliage that takes on rich, warm tones with good color contrast between the rounded, coin-shaped leaves. Like its golden relatives, it forms a low, spreading mat of stems that root as they travel, making it a reliable and visually interesting groundcover.
The trailing, creeping habit makes this an outstanding spiller in mixed containers and hanging baskets, where the stems cascade gracefully over edges and provide textural contrast to more upright companions. Yellow cup-shaped flowers appear in summer.
Creeping jenny thrives in moist to consistently watered conditions and adapts well to partially shaded spots where many other groundcovers lose steam.
