About This Plant
Purple Stream Imp sweet alyssum brings the beloved fragrance and pollinator appeal of traditional alyssum in a rich purple-violet flower color that adds real depth to container plantings and garden edges. The compact, spreading habit spills gracefully over pot edges and borders, producing a continuous flush of tiny, honey-scented flowers that draw beneficial insects from early summer right through fall.
Alyssum has long been valued by gardeners as a living mulch and beneficial insect habitat because it attracts predatory insects like parasitic wasps that help manage garden pests. Purple Stream Imp extends that ecological value with attractive color.
Use it as a trailing element in mixed containers, plant it along a path edge to soften hardscape and release fragrance as you walk by.
