About This Plant
Juniperus scopulorum 'Moonglow' (Rocky Mountain Juniper), 'Moonglow', is valued for its sculptural narrow conical form and brilliant silver-blue foliage in PNW landscapes.
Rocky Mountain Juniper (Juniperus scopulorum). Western N American native juniper. 'Moonglow' is a popular cultivar with intense silver-blue foliage and tight upright form, excellent for narrow accents and screens.
Full sun. Well-drained soil; very drought-tolerant. Hardy USDA Zone 3 to 7. Watch for cedar-apple rust near apple orchards.
For Pacific Northwest native conifers of similar character, consider Calocedrus decurrens (Incense Cedar) or Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas Fir).
