About This Plant

G&B Organics Raised Bed and Potting Soil is an OMRI Listed blend formulated specifically for raised beds and large containers. It combines recycled forest products, coir, perlite, peat moss, dehydrated and composted chicken manure, hydrolyzed feather meal, kelp meal, worm castings, and bat guano. The coir adds moisture-holding capacity without getting waterlogged, and the mix of fast- and slow-release organic fertilizers means plants get a nutrient boost at planting and continued feeding as the season progresses.

Fill raised beds directly with no additional amendments needed. One 2 cubic foot bag fills roughly 4 square feet of raised bed at proper depth, or repots 5 to 7 one-gallon plants. It works equally well for annuals, perennials, and vegetables in both ground-level beds and containers. The pH range of 5.8 to 7.5 suits most common garden crops.

G&B Organics is a Kellogg brand available only in western states, including Oregon. The OMRI certification and CDFA registration mean every ingredient has been independently verified for organic use, which matters if you are growing vegetables you plan to eat.
