About This Plant

Hardy Fuchsia is a Patagonian native shrub with small red-and-purple pendant bell flowers on arching stems from mid-summer through first frost, one of the most cold-tolerant Fuchsias and a foundational hummingbird plant for the Pacific Northwest. Reliably winter-hardy to Zone 6 in the PNW — dies back to ground but returns vigorously from roots. Three to six feet tall. Zone 6 to 9 hardy, part shade with morning sun.

Patagonian native — foundation PNW hardy fuchsia. Premier Anna's + Rufous Hummingbird plant. Hardy Fuchsia — dies back to ground in winter but returns from roots in spring. Cut back dead stems in early spring. Mulch crown in first winters. Premier PNW hummingbird plant.
