About This Plant
Fuchsia 'Auntie Jinks' is a trailing variety built for hanging baskets and containers, with a free-flowering, cascading habit that drapes over the edges of pots and fills in every gap with small, perfectly formed single blossoms. The flowers combine pinkish-red tubes with white sepals edged in cerise and white petals shading into purple, giving each bloom a jewel-like layered quality that's classic fuchsia at its best.
On the mild Oregon coast, fuchsias are some of the most rewarding summer container plants available. The cool maritime summers suit them perfectly, and 'Auntie Jinks' particularly thrives in the dappled light and moist air that coastal conditions provide. Keep the soil consistently moist, feed every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer during the blooming season.
Compact and manageable, it performs equally well as a pure trailer in a hanging basket or as a spiller in a mixed container planting.
