About This Plant

Dracaena fragrans 'Jade Jewel' is a Jade Jewel Corn Plant with deep jade-green leaves with lighter green central stripe, a tender tropical houseplant grown indoors in the PNW. 3 to 6 ft tall at mature indoor size. Zone 10 to 12 outdoors; strictly indoor in most of the PNW. Bright indirect light, moderate watering — let top inch of soil dry between waterings. Tolerates low light but prefers bright indirect. One of the most popular low-maintenance houseplants; NASA Clean Air Study rated Dracaena species as effective indoor air purifiers.

Care Notes

Corn Plant (D. fragrans); long strap-like arching leaves on a palm-like stem. Tropical houseplant. Bright indirect light, water when top inch dry. Avoid fluoridated water (sensitive to fluoride — leaf tips can brown). Toxic to dogs and cats if ingested (saponins) — keep out of pet reach.
