About This Plant

Silver Falls Dichondra is a trailing foliage plant grown entirely for the shimmer of its small, fan-shaped leaves, which are densely coated in silvery hairs that catch and reflect light. Stems cascade elegantly from containers, hanging baskets, and raised planters, reaching 3 to 6 feet long in a single season. It is a heat lover that thrives in full sun and tolerates drought far better than most trailing annuals.

Technically a tender perennial hardy to zone 8a, Silver Falls is grown as an annual throughout most of the Pacific Northwest. It pairs beautifully with colorful flowering annuals as a spiller in mixed containers, and the silver foliage acts as a natural brightener.

Silver Falls is low maintenance once established. It resists deer browsing and is not listed as toxic to pets. Avoid overwatering, as the roots dislike standing moisture.
