About This Plant
Cornus x 'Rutan Celestial' (Dogwood), 'Rutan Celestial' is valued in the landscape for character, form, and seasonal interest.

Full sun to part shade suits this species. Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Hardy USDA Zone 5 to 8. Watch for dogwood anthracnose (especially on C. florida) and dogwood borer on stressed trees. Mulch to keep roots cool.
The PNW native dogwood is Cornus nuttallii (Pacific Dogwood) , show-stopping spring bracts in dappled forest light, glossy red fruit favored by birds.
