Cornus nuttallii (Pacific Dogwood), 'Pacific Dogwood' is valued in the landscape for character, form, and seasonal interest.

Pacific Dogwood , PNW native flowering dogwood, show-stopping spring display of large white bracts in dappled forest light. Glossy red fall fruit favored by birds.

Part shade suits this species. Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic, humus-rich soil. Hardy USDA Zone 7 to 9. Site in dappled shade; resents hot dry sites. Watch for dogwood anthracnose. Mulch to keep roots cool.

This species is native to the Pacific Northwest and contributes ecologically as a wildlife host on the right site.
