About This Plant

The Hawaiian Ti Plant holds deep significance in Pacific Island cultures, traditionally planted near homes to bring good luck and ward off negative energy. The 'Harlequin' cultivar earns its name with leaves that blend green, cream, pink, and hints of purple into a tropical palette that genuinely stops you in your tracks. Grown as a houseplant on the Oregon coast, it brings bold, saturated color to a room in a way few other foliage plants can match.

Indoors, 'Harlequin' grows in an upright, fountain-like habit, reaching roughly three to four feet tall with consistently good light. Bright indirect light keeps the color intense. The variegation fades in low light, so place it near a window. Keep the soil moist but not soggy, and give it some extra humidity if your home runs dry. It can spend the summer outside in a sheltered, part-shade spot if you want to give it a seasonal boost.

Cordyline 'Harlequin' works as a statement specimen in a container, a bold accent in a bright entryway, or a focal point in a tropical-themed indoor arrangement.
