About This Plant

Chrysanthemums are classic fall-flowering perennials with abundant daisy or pompon flowers in nearly every color.
Full sun suits this species. Plant in moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Hardy USDA Zone 5 to 9. Pinch tips in early summer for compact growth. Deadhead for prolonged bloom.
For a Pacific Northwest native perennial of similar character, consider Aquilegia formosa (Western Red Columbine), Tellima grandiflora (Fringecups), or Dicentra formosa (Pacific Bleeding Heart) , all support native pollinators.
