About This Plant

Spider plants have been reliable houseplants for generations, and the 'Ocean' cultivar offers a fresh take on the classic. Instead of the familiar green-centered stripe pattern, 'Ocean' sports the reverse: rich green down the center of each arching leaf, framed by clean white margins that give it a crisper, more graphic look. The rosette stays compact, making it a good choice for shelves, hanging baskets, or anywhere you want a tidy plant with genuine visual interest.

Like all spider plants, 'Ocean' is exceptionally easygoing. It tolerates a wide range of light conditions from bright indirect to lower-light corners, bounces back from occasional missed waterings, and actively cleans indoor air. With enough light it will send out long, arching runners tipped with small starry flowers and tiny plantlets you can snip off and root in water or soil.

If you are newer to houseplants or want something low-maintenance that still looks good, spider plants remain one of the best answers in the category. 'Ocean' brings that reliability with a more modern variegation that works well alongside darker-leaved tropicals.
