About This Plant
Chameleon Atomic Orange is one of the most genuinely surprising annuals available, and it earns the Chameleon name completely. This is a million bells variety that actually changes color throughout the season in response to light levels, temperature, and day length, so the plant you have in June looks meaningfully different by August. The flowers open in shades of vivid orange with scarlet overtones and gold throats, shifting toward peachy primrose tones as conditions change.
The trailing habit makes it ideal as a spiller in mixed containers and hanging baskets, where the long stems cascade naturally over the edges in a relaxed, abundant flow. Like all calibrachoa, it is self-cleaning, so there is no deadheading required.
For anyone who finds single-color annuals predictable, Chameleon Atomic Orange offers something genuinely different: a plant that rewards continued observation and keeps evolving through the season.
