About This Plant
Calitastic Ice Blue is a million bells variety that brings a cool, sophisticated color story to containers and hanging baskets. The trumpet-shaped blooms are a soft lavender-blue accented by a deep purple ring around the throat and a bright yellow eye at the center, creating a layered, jewel-like flower. Plants grow 12 inches tall and equally wide in a dense, mounded form, producing a continuous flush of blooms from late spring through early fall without any deadheading required.
Million bells have earned their popularity by being genuinely dependable container performers. The cool lavender-blue tones pair beautifully with silver foliage plants like dusty miller or artemesia, and they complement white or soft pink companions without competing. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit regularly.
For Pacific Northwest gardeners, Calitastic Ice Blue is a strong performer that handles the temperature swings of coastal spring weather without sulking.
