Black Gold Potting Soil

Black Gold Potting Soil, produced by Sun Gro Horticulture, is a broadly useful container mix built around Canadian sphagnum peat moss, compost, processed bark, horticultural-grade perlite or pumice, and earthworm castings. It also contains RESiLIENCE, a silicon-enhanced additive developed by Sun Gro researchers that deposits silica in plant cell walls, resulting in stronger stems, better root development, and improved tolerance of inconsistent watering. This is a general-purpose potting soil suited to a wide range of plants and growing conditions.

Fill containers, raised beds, or window boxes with the mix directly. The blend offers medium drainage, medium water retention, and a balanced particle size that works well for most annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, and houseplants.
