About This Plant

Agastache 'Purple Haze' (Hummingbird Mint), 'Purple Haze', is valued for seasonal interest and the role it plays in PNW garden borders.

Hyssops (Agastache) are aromatic perennials with flower spikes that hummingbirds and bees adore. Drought-tolerant.

Full sun suits this species. Plant in well-drained, lean soil. Hardy USDA Zone 5 to 10. Sharp drainage essential , heavy wet soils kill them. Cut back lightly after flowering.

For a Pacific Northwest native perennial of similar character, consider Aquilegia formosa (Western Red Columbine), Tellima grandiflora (Fringecups), or Dicentra formosa (Pacific Bleeding Heart) , all support native pollinators.
