Soak them in room-temperature water for 20 to 30 minutes once a week, then turn them upside down to drain before returning them to their display spot. Good air circulation after watering is important and prevents rot at the base.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter flowering, T. ionantha produces offsets called pups around the base of the mother plant. These can be left to form a clump or gently separated once they reach about a third the size of the parent.
